Meet Minnie

Halloween was so fun this year. We were able to really get into the festivities, and spending it all with Grammy and Papa made it that much sweeter. Seeing Ava take her time to really touch, discover and dissect every detail the holiday brought, was probably my favorite part. For example, she would crouch down in her usual squat and play with every one of my decorations. This happened every day for weeks. Then when we arrived at Grammy's she would do the same exact thing with all of her decorations. When it came to her costume, she would rub her hand back and forth, back and forth, back and forth along her tutu. She would also pick at it and stretch the tulle as far as it would go. Luckily she left the headband alone when it was on her head. I was worried about that. My favorite thing she did was how when we would say "trick or treat!" she would get a big smile on her face and raise her arms high above her head while holding her little pumpkin treat bowl. It was so cute. Brian and I now have a goal to have her be doing some holiday trick for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. We'll see how that goes.
Okay, here she is! Minnie mouse all ready for trick or treating with her entourage: Grammy and Papa Mouse.
Side note: Brian and I both had black mouse ears, we just never got a picture for some odd reason?
This girl is learning to mimic every single action you do, and every word you say. It is kind of a frightening thought for me. Take for instance, knocking; it took her a total of three houses before she understood that knocking meant candy. Smart cookie, that one.
