A Sorensen Wedding

Saturday, January 2, 2010

Well its official, my older cousin Colin is a married man! Words can't describe how happy I am for him and his new bride, now known as Mrs. Whitney Sorensen. Wednesday's Wedding was a mixture of joy, happiness, excitement, celebration, and enthusiasm. Colin and Whitney were sealed in the Mesa, Arizona Temple on the 30th of December, 2009. The sealing was beautiful and their faces were lit up in smiles the whole time as they became husband and wife for time and all eternity.

After pictures we all headed our separate ways for the afternoon before meeting later that evening at The Landmark, there in Mesa. Whitney looked so perfect in her gown, seemingly flawless, and completely comfortable at Colin's side. Memories kept flooding my mind of when Colin and I were younger. A dozen or so Christmas mornings together, roadtrips to Utah, running through the sprinklers at Aunt Sondra's, seeing him get his Eagle, watching his high school football games, watching him become an Elder and serve a mission all the way around the world, shooting a BB gun out in the backyard, seeing him baptize my younger brother, traveling to Twin to see his bright and smiley face come off an airplane from his mission and seeing my aunt nearly tackle him to the ground in excitement, and today I was able to see him get married in the temple. What a sweet day it was. Colin is really like an older brother to me, and I wish all the happiness in the world for him, because he really does deserve it.

 Congrats you two love birds!
